Exodus 31:15 Summary
Exodus 31:15 teaches us that God wants us to rest on the seventh day, just like He did after creating the world, as mentioned in Exodus 31:17. This day is holy to the Lord and is a time for us to focus on Him, rather than our work or daily activities (see also Hebrews 4:9-11). By keeping the Sabbath, we can remember that God is our sanctifier and that He is the one who makes us holy. We can apply this principle in our lives by setting aside time to rest and worship God, just as Jesus taught in Mark 2:27-28.
