Ezekiel 47:12 Summary
Ezekiel 47:12 describes a beautiful picture of a river that flows from God's sanctuary, bringing life and nourishment to the trees that grow along its banks. The fruit of these trees is for food, and the leaves are for healing, representing the abundant life and restoration that come from God. This verse reminds us that, just like the trees, we need to stay connected to God's presence and provision in order to bear fruit and experience healing, as seen in John 15:4-5 and Psalm 92:12-14. By trusting in God and relying on His nourishment, we can live a life that is fruitful and fulfilling, and brings glory to Him.
