Jeremiah 44

Jeremiah 44:1-30

Contents: Message to the Jews in Egypt. Further judgments threatened. Contempt of the people for the admonitions.

Characters: God, Jeremiah, Pharaoh-hophra, Zedekiah, Nebuchadnezzar.

Conclusion: God’s past dealings with sinful people should be a warning to us of the danger of sin and the fatal consequences of it. To those who are impenitent sinners God will be found an implacable Judge. In a contest between God’s Word and man’s word, God’s Word will be sure to stand.
