Selfishness, Common
Selfishness causes unfairness and conflict, illustrated by a story of dividing spoils.
A white man and an Indian, returning from a hunt, had a fine turkey and a carrion-buzzard to divide between them. Said the white man, "I will take the turkey, and you shall take the buzzard; or else you may take the buzzard, and I will take the turkey." — "Ah!" said the Indian, "you no say turkey for poor me once."
