Sleep
A dozing deacon misunderstands a preacher's question, humorously answering about merchandise price.
Inopportune. In a town not far from Boston, as the clergyman was holding forth, one of the deacons fell into a doze. The preacher happening to use the words, "What is the price of all earthly pleasures?" the good deacon, who kept a small store, thinking the inquiry respecting some kind of merchandise, immediately answered, "Seven and sixpence a dozen."
