- RSVn NEBnCOMMENTS: Although it is possible that the words “and the life” was added because of “shall live” in verse John 11:25 and “is living” in verse John 11:26, it is much more likely that the words were omitted, perhaps because verse John 11:24 mentions only the resurrection. The fact that the words are found in most manuscripts of several kinds of ancient text indicates that they are original.
