Revelation 14

- RSV NASV NIV NEB : The word for “as” is enclosed in brackets in the UBS text. While it is possible that “as” was added by copyists from verse 2, it is also possible that it was omitted as unnecessary, perhaps in imitation of Rev 5:9, which simply says, “they sing a new song.”
Revelation 14:13
- :TEXT: “‘Lord from now on.’ ‘Yes,’ says the Spirit, ’that’”
- Sc A C P \ 051 1 \ 1006 1611 1854 2344 \ Maj(A,B) lat vg syr(ph,h) cop(south)
- KJV ASV RSV NASV NIV NEBn TEV RANK: BNOTES: “‘Lord.’ ‘From now on,’ says the Spirit, ’that’”
- p47 S* cop(north)
- : “‘Lord from now on.’ ‘Indeed,’ says the Spirit, ’that’”
- 2053
- The evidence listed in braces has a different word order from the text reading. Although it is possible that “yes” and “indeed” are expansions by copyists, the great manuscript support for “yes” makes it likely that the text reading is original.
