Psalms 6:1-4. O Lord, rebuke me not in Thine anger, neither chasten me in Thy hot displeasure. Have mercy upon me, O Lord, for I am withered away. O Lord, heal me, for my bones are troubled. Psalms 22:3-5; Psalms 22:11; Psalms 22:19. Thou art holy, O Thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel. Our fathers trusted in Thee: they trusted and Thou didst deliver them. Be not Thou far off, O Lord; O my strength, haste Thee to help me.

Remember, O Lord, Thy tender mercies and Thy loving kindnesses, for they have been ever of old. Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions; according to Thy loving kindness remember Thou me, for Thy goodness’ sake, O Lord. For Thy name’s sake, O Lord, pardon mine iniquity, for it is great. Turn Thee unto me, and have mercy upon me, for I am desolate and afflicted. O bring me out of my distresses. Look upon mine affliction and my travail, and forgive all my sins. O keep my soul and deliver me, let me not be put to shame, for in Thee do I take refuge.
Psalms 26:2-3; Psalms 26:6; Psalms 26:8-9; Psalms 26:11. Examine me, O Lord, and prove me; try my heart and my mind. For Thy loving kindness is before mine eyes, and I have walked in Thy truth. I will wash my hands in innocency; so will I compass Thine altar, O Lord. Lord, I love the habitation of Thy house, and the place where Thy glory dwelleth. Gather not my soul with sinners, nor my life with men of blood. As for me, I will walk in mine integrity. Redeem me and be merciful unto me.
Psalms 27:7-9; Psalms 27:11. Hear, O Lord, when I cry with my voice; have mercy also upon me, and answer me. Leave me not, nor forsake me, O God of my salvation. Teach me Thy way, O Lord, and lead me in a plain path.
Psalms 28:1-3. Unto Thee will I cry, O Lord, my rock. Be not silent unto me; lest, if Thou be silent unto me, I become like them that go down into the pit. Psalms 31:1-4. In Thee, O Lord, do I put my trust; let me never be put to shame: deliver me in Thy righteousness. Bow down Thine ear unto me, deliver me speedily. Psalms 31:9-10; Psalms 31:12-17. Have mercy upon me, O Lord, for I am in trouble; mine eye is consumed with grief, yea, my soul and my body. My life is spent with grief and my years with sighing, my strength faileth. I am forgotten as a dead man out of mind, I am like a broken vessel. For I hear the backbiting of many, cause for terror is on every side. But I have trusted in Thee, O Lord: I have said, “Thou art my God.” My times are in Thy hand. Make Thy face to shine upon Thy servant; save me for Thy mercies’ sake. Let me not be put to shame, O Lord, for I have called upon Thee.

I am bent, I am bowed down greatly, I go mourning all the day long. Lord, all my desire is before Thee, and my groaning is not hid from Thee. My heart throbbeth, my strength faileth me; as for the light of mine eyes, it also is gone from me. My lovers and my friends stand aloof, and my kinsmen stand afar off. In Thee, O Lord, do I hope; Thou wilt answer, O Lord my God. I am ready to fall, and my sorrow is continually before me. I have to confess my guilt, I am sorry because of my sin. Forsake me not, O Lord; O my God, be not far from me. Make haste to help me, O Lord, my salvation.
Psalms 39:4-5; Psalms 39:7-8; Psalms 39:10; Psalms 39:12-13. Lord, make me to know mine end, and the measure of my days, what it is; let me know how frail I am. Behold, Thou hast made my days as an handbreadth, and my lifetime is as nothing before Thee. And now, Lord, what wait I for? my hope is in Thee. Deliver me from all my transgressions. Remove Thy stroke away from me, I am consumed by the blow of Thine hand. Hear my prayer, O Lord, and give ear unto my cry. Hold not Thy peace at my tears; for I am a stranger with Thee and a sojourner, as all my fathers were. Oh, spare me that I may smile again, before I go hence, and be no more.
Psalms 40:13; Psalms 40:17; Psalms 70:1; Psalms 70:5. Be graciously pleased, O God, to deliver me; make haste to help me, O Lord. I am poor and needy, make haste unto me, O God. Thou art my help and my deliverer. O Lord, make no tarrying.

Fearfulness and trembling are come upon me, and horror hath overwhelmed me. As for me, I will call upon God, and the Lord will save me. Evening, and morning, and at noon will I complain and moan; and He will hear my voice. God will hear, even He that abideth of old.
Psalms 56:1-3. Be merciful unto me, O God; for man would swallow me up, all the day long he fighting oppresseth me. Mine enemies would swallow me up all the day long, for they be many that fight proudly against me. What time I am afraid, I will trust in Thee.

For Thou hast been a shelter to me, and a strong tower from the enemy. I will abide in Thy tabernacle for ever, I will take refuge in the covert of Thy wings.

I sink in deep mire, where there is no standing; I am come into deep waters, where the floods overflow me. I am weary with my crying, my throat is dried; mine eyes fail while I wait for my God. O God, Thou knowest my foolishness, and my sins are not hid from Thee. Deliver me out of the mire, and let me not sink, let me be delivered out of the deep waters. Answer me, O Lord, for Thy loving kindness is good; turn unto me according to the multitude of Thy tender mercies. And hide not Thy face from Thy servant, for I am in trouble; hear me speedily. Thou art my hope, O Lord God; Thou art my trust from my youth. Cast me not off in the time of old age, forsake me not when my strength faileth. O God, be not far from me; O my God, make haste for my help. I will hope continually and will praise Thee yet more and more. O God, Thou hast taught me from my youth. Yea, even when I am old and gray-headed, O God, forsake me not.

For Thou, Lord, art good and ready to forgive, and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon Thee. Give ear, O Lord, unto my prayer, and attend to the voice of my supplications. For my soul is full of troubles, and my life draweth nigh to the grave. I am become as a man that hath no strength. Thou hast laid me in the lowest pit, in dark places, in the deeps. Thou hast put mine acquaintance far from me. I have called daily upon Thee, I have spread forth my hands unto Thee. Unto Thee, O Lord, do I cry, and in the morning my prayer comes before Thee.
Psalms 90:14-17. O satisfy us early with Thy mercy, that we may rejoice and be glad all our days. Make us glad according to the days wherein Thou hast afflicted us, and the years wherein we have seen evil. Let Thy work appear unto Thy servants, and Thy glory upon their children. And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us; and establish Thou the work of our hands, yea, the work of our hands establish Thou it.
Psalms 102:1-2; Psalms 102:11-13; Psalms 102:24-27. Hear my prayer, O Lord, and let my cry come unto Thee. Hide not Thy face from me in the day when I am in trouble. Incline thine ear unto me; in the day when I call answer me speedily. My days are like a shadow that declineth, and I am withered like grass. But Thou, O Lord, dost abide for ever, and Thy memorial name unto all generations. Thou wilt arise and have mercy upon Zion; for it is time to have pity upon her, yea, the set time is come. O my God, take me not away in the midst of my days; Thy years are throughout all generations. Of old hast Thou laid the foundations of the earth, and the heavens are the work of Thy hands. They shall perish, but Thou shalt endure; yea, all of them shall wax old like a garment; as a vesture shalt Thou change them, and they shall be changed. But Thou art the same, and Thy years shall have no end.

Psalms 123:1-3. Unto Thee do I lift up mine eyes, O Thou that dwellest in the heavens. I remember the days of old, I meditate on all Thy doings, I muse on the work of Thy hands. I spread forth my hands unto Thee, my soul thirsteth after Thee. Cause me to hear Thy loving-kindness in the morning, for in Thee do I trust. Cause me to know the way wherein I should walk, for I lift up my soul to Thee. I flee unto Thee to hide me. Teach me to do Thy will, for Thou art my God. Let Thy good spirit lead me in an even path. Quicken me, O God, for Thy name’s sake. In Thy righteousness, O bring my soul out of trouble.
